Ateneo de Manila Junior High School student-athlete Jowie Cabaccan (7-Alfonso) has been making waves in the local fencing scene, bringing pride to her school with back-to-back podium finishes in two prestigious tournaments.
At the Philippine Fencing Association Minime Ranking (2nd Leg) held on July 5–6, 2025 at Gateway Mall, Cubao, Quezon City, Jowie showcased her growing skills by bagging bronze medals in both the Under-12 and Under-14 Epee categories.
Competing against some of the country’s best young fencers, her performance stood out as a testament to her discipline, consistency, and competitive spirit at such a young age.
